This smoothie is one we demoed at the Pedalfest one year, and women kept coming back asking for the recipe. We love this Wildflower Green Smoothie because it is such a great beginner smoothie if you are new to green smoothies. The pineapple makes it taste so delicious and sweet, and the wedge of lime gives it a clean yummy finish. Leave the peel on your lime unless you don’t have high powered blender. Lemon & lime peels have what is called Limonene. It is known for promoting weight loss and preventing cancer. Its also alkaline so it can helps offset the acidity in your body. An acidic environment is not good for the body and can harbor inflammation and a host of other problems.
So if you are new to smoothies, definitely give this one a try and let us know what you think! If you are already advanced and love making them, add this one to your list because it is a good “go-to” for those crazy days you are on the run!Print
