“Almost All Wheat” Waffle & Pancake Mix

This “Almost All Wheat” Waffle & Pancake Mix is the perfect solution to helping your kids transition from all white pancakes to wheat pancakes.  I like to make a double batch and store it in a large cereal container, but any air-tight container will work.



  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until well combined.  You don’t want clumps of baking soda or salt anywhere in there!
  2. Pour into an air-tight container.  I like to use the large cereal containers to keep it on the shelf.
  3. When ready to make the mix, just combine 1 c. milk, 1 egg, 1 c. mix.  For pancakes, add 1 Tbsp. oil and for waffles, add 2 Tbsp. oil.
  4. Stir until combined pour onto a hot skillet to make pancakes, or a hot waffle iron.  Because I have a large family, we love using our Cuisinart double belgium waffle maker.  It feeds a large crowd, fast!!  Click here to check it out!
